Bush Teleconference STAGED... No Bulge needed!

For anyone still in doubt that the White House may resort to coaching or prompting in times of need... perhaps you didn't see today's Presidential "teleconference".

This one is so bad that Bush should probably go back to wireless speaking aids... despite any bulges. Hey, don't take my word for it, ask any of the millions of people who watched... or read the reports in the Mainstream Press!

Read this the report from ABC NEWS titled, "Bush Teleconference With Soldiers Staged". Something tells me that there will be more juicy facets to this escapade following... perhaps someone in the mass media will remember the Bulge. I won't hold my breath.

The official video is on the WHITE HOUSE WEBSITE .

Bush and the cronies are really on the ropes. it all falls apart when Rove is in front of the grand jury. without Rove to speak in Bush's ear they couldn't figure out anything better than to give those soldiers lines. it would be funny if it wasn't so scary.

EDITOR'S NOTE:

Check out the official Presidential Big Screen TV... it almost beats Wolf Blitzers Mega Screen in CNN's situation room.

Nice wood finish.

Great headline! You guys are still pushing the bulge, i dont think you'll get anywhere with that story, but i believe it 100%, its just that youll never prove it. i cant believe how close you guys came. last fall it might have been the media that asked the questions and dumped the story but it was you guys and your blogs that started the controversy and kept the fire lit. keep it lit but i suggest that you look beyond bulges and start looking deeper into the other instances of phony press conferences and other staged presidential speeches. this administratation has been manipulating the media from the beginning, not that all white houses dont do it but this administration is really crass. with all the scandal the media might listen to you know. keep your story current, remember the bulge but i dont think youll get much interest unless your story involves current press manipulation. good luck.

EDITORS NOTE:

Thanks for the comment (above). I agree with you completely. While this blog was intended to be a short lived commentary on the Bulge seen at the debate(s), I concur that the Bulge isn't the topic of mass speculation as it once was.

The story isn't DEAD though... bits and pieces of it have appeared here and there in the media for months. It has become a pop-culture myth, and the subject of endless jokes. I have even seen references to the Bulge being used to sell prompting devices. All this stuff is quite interesting, but I thought off-topic (somewhat) as it didn't really delve further into this scandal... or mystery.

So I've kept this blog alive, to document the story, and also to update anything relevant.

I also agree that the bulge is the tip of a bigger iceburg that involves all likes of press manipulation and other sordid republican strategies coming from the white House. Plamegate, Jim Gannon/Jim Guckert, Karl Rove, staged teleconferences, press conferences.... This is all relevant to the Bulge, but also a bit off of the specific topic of this blog.

After dozens of suggestions, I have been entertaining the idea of starting a sister-blog to BushWired. The new blog woul be an ongoing commentary on current events, politics, the media, etc. etc. and perhaps include commentary by some others as well. Its just a matter of time and effort.

If people would be interested in expanding the topic of this blog... drop me an e-mail or comment, even suggest a topic or two!

There's no better motivator than support.
